I’ve been an active photojournalist in Philadelphia for three years. I have been Judge John Younge’s campaign photographer for his run at Superior Court. I have also been at the Daily News as a photo intern, the Photo Editor of Temple News, and jack of all trades freelancer. I have been published on abcnews.com, uwishunu.com, owlscoop.com, and in the City Paper and their blog, Critical Mass. Aside from news, I am available for weddings, events, and headshots.
I am currently traveling on the Hazon Climate Change Tour bus documenting environmental teachers gather the Jewish community in this paradigm shift towards a healthier Earth.
I cannot remember a time when I did not have a camera in my hands. Since I was old enough to record memory, I have been observing life and capturing what I can. But as I enter my adult years, I find that the world doesn’t physically change and I will forever see my environment at 5’8”. I am bored of being the same height. I miss the days when the doctor would tell me I had grown 6 inches that year. Now I am stuck at 5′8″, no chance at being my dream of 6′, and I want to do something about it. I love to find new angles. I bend down, look up, hold my camera high in the air and click in hope of a good image. Through this blog I’ll be shrinking and growing and along we go.
Rachel… you are an amazing photographer and I have loved looking at these pictures. I am blessed to know you and even more so that you captured a most precious time in the life of my family! With love… Anne
